This is my final exam piece, to create this I have used a combination of hand drawn images, ink work and photoshop to design my children's book that uses shadows to complete the objectives set. I created the characters and display title text by first hand sketching them and then inking them in, I then scanned them on to the mac and finally colored them in photoshop. When in photoshop I used the blending mode multiply to create firstly the shadow and then the change in color of my name on the spine of the book. The grass was formed by taking a blob of green then copying it six times, then by slightly altering the hue or saturation I created seven shades of green which i then grouped and copied across the page. Adding my scanned ink lines gives the work a more hand crafted feel that is intended to draw in the audience more, giving an all round inviting feel.
